Amanda Blast Furnace, 2020

$80.00

The Amanda Blast Furnace stands at AK Steel’s Ashland Works in Ashland, KY, formerly Armco. Built in 1963, it was the last furnace to operate at that facility. It was idled in 2019 and permanently ceased operation in 2020 with the closure of the Ashland Works.

I originally shot this subject for a Black Keys poster in 2012, when it was still operating. This version eliminates the changes I made to create a gig poster and restores it to its true appearance.

Amanda Blast Furnace is an 8-color silkscreen fine art print, 17.5 x 23”, produced in a signed & numbered edition of 62.
