The object in this print is the Chambersburg 40000# steam driven forging hammer that operated for many decades at Kropp Forge in Cicero IL. In 2023 it was revealed, massive and immovable, as the facility was demolished around it. I got a lucky shot and then it was gone…not in fact sent to Canton (OH) but scrapped entirely.
Printed in seven cumulative layers of transparent black. 18x24”, s/n edition of 60
